Today, I planted my annual potatoes. I went to H-Mart with my mom and we bought two fine looking potatoes. We brought them home and I immediately got a pot and filled it with dirt. I put in the potatoes and then covered them with more dirt. After that, I watered it.

Last year, I found some potatoes sitting on our kitchen counter, I asked my parents if I could have it and they said yes. I planted it in a planter and watered it every week no matter what temperature it was. One week later, It grew a huge stalk and a flower. When the flower died, it dropped potato seeds and those also grew. After one year, I pulled the potatoes out and I found about 15 potatoes! I decided to plant them back in the ground and see if next year there would be even more. I did the process again for one more year, and then pulled them out. I found about 50 potatoes! I was so excited, I wanted to make french fries! Then, we got lazy and it just sat in a bowl for about 2 weeks. then they started turning green and we started getting suspicious. I looked up if green potatoes were still edible and it said that green potatoes were poisonous to eat so we had to throw it out. I was so sad. This year, I am not going to let that happen!
