Hurricane Hilary, Attack on The Plants

Today, Hurricane Hilary is attacking. This is the first hurricane in LA that we’ve had since the 1930s. We really don’t know what to expect or how to prepare for it. So when I heard there was a hurricane coming, I freaked out about m plants. So far, it is just a rain that comes on and off. I have moved all my plants from the outdoor shelf to either under the eaves, or inside the house. It is currently pouring rain and I have put my rainforest plants in the rain. But then, the rain got a little too heavy, so I also moved them under the eaves. Here are some pictures of my plants sheltered from the rain.

Moving all of those plants was a lot of work. While I was moving my plants around, I saw a baby caterpillar on my milkweeds leaf. The leaves also had holes in them. They were so cute. But now, they are four times the size they were before. Two days ago, they were also lime green, but now, they are starting to turn yellow.

On the right, there is the baby one, from two days ago, then a bigger one from yesterday, then how they are now. There are so many caterpillars, I estimate that there are about 6 just all over that plant. It is so amazing. But when it started raining, they all took cover under the leaves.
