Euphorbia bupleurifolia (Pineapple Euphorbia)

Just the other day, my mom and I went to my favorite cactus store, California Cactus Center. It has many exotic plants that are very expensive. So, this new plant I got, we call him “Pineapple Dude”. It’s a very nice name. If you look down below, you can see that he looks kind of like a pineapple. He also has two little babies on the side. The lady at nursery told me that this pineapple looking plant would take many years to grow and that it can grow to about the same size as a pineapple! This plant was so exotic that it was $90! My mom and I were freaking out! But, we bought it, we can’t resist plants. It is from South Africa. He is currently flowering and is very happy. (The flowers are really rare and are hard to keep alive).

Here below is “Pineapple Dude” with his pretty flowers!

Here is “Pineapple dude” in the sunlight, enjoying the afternoon breeze.

I hope you can see his two babies on his left and right in the photo below. They are so cute! Though, they will take about 15 years to get as big as their mama.
